RULES     

Hours of Operation-

·         Monday-Friday 6:00AM-9:00PM, Saturday 7:00AM-9:00PM, Sunday 12:00PM-9:00pm (Summer hours)

·         Holidays to be observed and closings will be posted.

·         Times are subject to change at the discretion of the MHCC management.

GENERAL RULES

1.      All visitors, members, guests and patrons must enter and exit the center through the main entrance located in the Community Center.

2.      Patrons under 14 years of age are required to have someone 18 years of age or older with them at all times. Day passes will not be sold to children 15 and under who are unaccompanied by a legal adult.

3.      All MHCC members must scan before entering the facility. Members whose membership has expired can renew their membership or purchase a day pass.

4.      Proper attire (shoes, shirts, pants, shorts) must be worn at all times while utilizing the MHCC Community Center, Gym, Weight Room and Cardio Room. The dress code is in place to help protect against the transmission of viruses, infections, create a comfortable exercise experience for all MHCC users and increase the safety of all participants. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in denial of use of the MHCC.

·         Athletic shoes (rubber soles) and socks must be worn. Sandals, open toed or open backed shoes are not permitted on the Gym, weight room and cardio room.

·         Tops and bottoms must not expose buttocks or private areas while exercising. Chest, back or abdomen skin should not touch the upholstery on equipment. To protect upholstery, clothing must be free of material that could cause tears, such as belts, studs, rivets, and zippers.

·         Staff may use their discretion on this policy as needed.

5.      Members 15 and older and guest or day pass users 16 and older with proper identification have full access to the MHCC.

6.      Outside food, beverages, and snacks are prohibited.

7.      No audio equipment can be used unless with headphones.

8.      Pets are not allowed into MHCC. Verified service animals are welcome.

9.      The MHCC campus is drug, alcohol, and tobacco free.

10. MHCC and Mountain Home Parks and recreation are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Members and guest have the option to utilize lockers in the Natatorium and Gymnasium Locker rooms. All articles must be removed at the end of each day. Items left will be placed in the MHCC lost and found for 2 weeks before disposal.

11. Any Patron who willfully or neglectfully damages MHCC property will pay for damage caused. Patrons are responsible for damage incurred by dependent children.

12. Disrupting or interfering with a workout of another patron is prohibited. Inappropriate behavior includes but is not limited to boisterous, riotous, threatening, indecent conduct, abusive or obscene language.    Any misconduct, abuse of equipment, facility, or staff will not be tolerated and result in immediate suspension from MHCC.

13. In accordance with Arkansas state law, and City Ordinance #2026-19,  the MHCC and all property owned by Mountain Home Parks and Recreation is smoke, vape and tobacco free. Smoking, includes the use of E-Cigarettes or vapor devices, and is strictly prohibited on MHCC premises. Any person who is in violation of this law is subject to a fine. Additionally, members and guests who fail to comply with this policy are subject to disciplinary actions.

14. The MHCC will use the following procedure to address any and all violations of rules, policy, or regulations.

·         1st Offense- Verbal Warning, privileges may be revoked.

·         2nd Offense- Written warning, privileges may be revoked.

·         3rd Offense- Privileges revoked for 1 year

·         Fighting is an automatic 1 month suspension, multiple offense will result in permanent suspension.

 

FITNESS CENTERS (WEIGHT ROOM/CARDIO ROOM)

1. Patrons must be at least 15 years of age to use the Fitness Centers without supervision.

2. Food and drink are prohibited in the Fitness Center, water is the only exception.

3. Patrons should wipe down all cardio, strength, and other weight-room equipment after each use.  

·         Disinfection wipes are provided and available for use.

4. Use of cardio equipment is limited to 30 minutes during peak hours or while other are waiting.

5. Compliance with free weights includes the following:

·         Chalk is not permitted.

·         Allow others to work in-between sets.

·         Return weight and dumbbells to rack.

·         Weights should not be leaned against the wall, mirrors, benches, or other equipment.

·         Weight or dumbbells should not be dropped or slammed on the floor or benches.

·         Collars should always be used to secure free weights.

·         Patrons should seek assistance for all spotting needs.

6. The MHCC PROHIBITS personal trainers from accompanying patrons.

7. Report any personal injury or damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the center staff.

 

GYM/COURTS

1. MHCC is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

2. No food, drinks, or snacks permitted in the gym during open play. Water only.

3. Children 14 & under must be supervised by a responsible person 18yrs & older.

4. Shirts, shorts, athletic pant, and athletic shoes must be worn at all times.

5. Profanity, stealing, vandalism or any criminal act including physical or verbal abuse to patrons or staff will not be tolerated and may result in expulsion from MHCC or loss of membership privileges. Criminal charges may be pursued.

6. Hanging from rim or net is not permitted. Do not raise or lower goals.

7. Street, sandal, open toed shoes and boots are prohibited on the playing surface.

8. Do not throw or bounce balls against walls.

9. Taunting players, coaches, officials, or other individuals will not be tolerated.

a) Program SPECTATORS please remember:

·         These are kids.

·         This is their game.

·         Coaches and officials are human.

·         This is for fun.

·         Positive cheering is encouraged.

·         Only players, coaches, and officials are allowed on playing surface.

10. The courts are shared between various programs. Please be respectful and courteous to other programs and their scheduled play times. Scheduled times are subject to change.

·         Mountain Home Parks and Recreation events such as basketball, volleyball, classes, and rentals will have priority.

·         See front desk to check out basketballs, volleyballs, pickle ball equipment. Membership or photo ID required to check out equipment.

 

AQUATIC FACILITY- Indoor Pools

1. LAP SWIMMING

a) During busy times of the day, we ask that our members share swimming lanes and follow circular swimming rules: swimmers should swim complete lap (up and back) without stopping in the middle of the lane.

2. POOL AREA RULES 

a) The health department requires proper swimsuits. Male suits must have liners, no underwear.

b) Please walk while in the pool area.

c) Long hair must be in a ponytail or covered with a swim cap.

d) All patrons must shower before entering the pool.

e) Only MHCC approved life jackets are allowed. No floaties or rings. Life Jackets can be checked out with Membership or photo ID. All swimming equipment may only be used in the competition pool and is only for proper training or exercise. They are not to be used as toys.

f) No diving.

g) No Food or Drinks allowed on Pool Deck. Water bottles is the only exception.

h) Please dispose of chewing gum in the proper receptacle before entering the pool area.

I) Rough horseplay is not allowed at any time.

j) Children 14 & under must be supervised by a guardian 18 years and over.

k) Proper footwear and attire must be worn coming in and out of pool area, including locker rooms, lobby, and hallways.

l) Swim diapers are required for children who are not toilet trained.

3. THERAPY POOL: This pool is for therapeutic purposes only. 

a) Adults 18 and over only.

b) Exceptions must present a doctor's note.

c) Pregnant women or bathers with a history of heart disease, diabetes or circulatory problems should not use this pool.

 

 

OUTDOOR POOLS

1.      Food and Drinks purchased from onsite concessions or café are allowed on pool deck.

2.      Water slides are only to be used by individuals who are 48" tall or taller and 300lbs or less. Life jackets, buckles, goggles, belts or any other sharp object that may injure the user or damage the water slide is prohibited.

3.      Only MHCC approved life jackets can be worn. No rings, floaties or noodles allowed in the Outdoor water park pools. Exceptions can be made with approval from MHCC aquatic staff for children under 5 years old.

4.      No diving.

5.      No running on pool deck.

6.      The health department requires proper swimsuits. Male suits must have liners, no underwear.

7.      Rough horseplay is not allowed at any time.

8.      All patrons are required to use outdoor showers before entering.

MHCC  Lazy River - Inflatables 

·         You may not use the inflatable if you have a history of back or neck problems, epilepsy, heart complaint, panic attacks, or are pregnant, unwell or under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

·         One person at a time on the inflatable.

·         No sharp objects on inflatable including buckles, jewelry, hair clips, keys, or eyeglasses.

·         No food or drink on inflatable.

·         Enter water feet first.

·         No bodily contact with other patrons. No running, diving, flips or bombing off inflatable.

 

INDOOR WALKING TRACK

1.      Please be aware of runners and walkers on the track. Runners and walkers have the right-of-way. Please use caution before entering this area. Walkers should stay on the inside lanes, runners stay on the outside lane. Track directions rotate daily.

2.      Stopping on the track or using the track to watch sporting games or events is not allowed.

3.      Parents, supervisors, or guardians must stay with children at all times.

4.      Athletic shoes only on walking track. Boots, street, open toed, sandal shoes are prohibited.

5.      Outside food and drink are prohibited. Water bottles are the only exception.

TRAINERS/COACHES/INSTRUCTORS 

·         The Mountain Home Parks & Recreation department does not allow outside vendors to use MHCC. Certified Instructors will be contracted and class schedules posted on Website.

LOCKERS 

·         Please do not leave items at the front desk. Lockers are available for daily use only. Lockers may not be locked overnight.

EMERGENCIES/SAFETY/INJURIES/FIRST AID

1. All members and guests are responsible for maintaining a safe environment. Everyone's cooperation is necessary to ensure that the MHCC operates properly.

2. The AED's are located in the gymnasium, community center, natatorium, and Outdoor water park. First Aid stations are located in the gymnasium concession, Lifeguard office in Bath house.

3. If an injury occurs, patrons are asked to seek assistance from the nearest staff. The MHCC staff will implement the Emergency Action Plan. In any injury situation the injured person, when possible, and any witnesses will be questioned for an incident report.

4. ADVERSE WEATHER CLOSURES. The MHCC will close for adverse weather. Management will make this call. Please call before your trip to confirm. Follow our social media accounts and member emails will be notified of any closings.

5. FIRE. When the fire alarm sounds, all patrons must evacuate the building. Please follow the exit signs and instructions from the MHCC staff. Please remain calm and cooperate fully with staff.

6. SEVERE WEATHER. In the event of severe weather please remain calm and cooperate fully with staff. The MHCC staff will implement the MHCC Emergency Action Plan.
