Current Projects & Notices

Current Projects:

Redbud Street and Windbrook Street have been completed, and we are waiting for the Douglas Circle rebuild project to be completed so Redbud and Douglas will be paved at the same time.  Douglas Circle is undergoing a rebuild to alleviate drainage issues.  New drainage culvert has been installed, and the crew is now working on pouring new curb and gutters.  Sidewalk will be poured after the curb has been finished and new asphalt will be placed to complete the project.

A crew is at McCabe Park building a retention pond in front of the community center; general maintenance is being done which includes mowing the right of ways in all zones, trimming along curbs and sidewalks, cleaning gravel from the creek beds at various bridges throughout Mountain Home, and sign maintenance.

The Parks Department was awarded a grant for fishing piers around one of the ponds at McCabe Park.  We have a crew currently building those piers and walkways around the pond.
