Before You Go Out:

Plan your trick-or-treat route and stick to familiar neighborhoods

Make sure costumes fit properly and don't block vision

Add reflective tape or glow sticks for visibility

Fully charge your phone before leaving

While Trick-or-Treating:

Walk on sidewalks and use crosswalks

Stay in groups and keep young children with an adult

Carry a flashlight or glow stick

Only visit homes with porch lights on

Never enter a stranger's home or car

Before Eating Treats:

Inspect all candy before eating

Discard anything that looks opened or suspicious

Be cautious of homemade treats unless you know the source

- For Drivers:

Slow down and stay alert in neighborhoods

Turn headlights on early

Avoid distractions - watch for trick-or-treaters

Take extra care near crosswalks and driveways
